Are you ready to cast your vote?

Let’s make a plan.

1. First things first! Are you eligible to vote?

You can vote in Mississippi if these apply to you:

  • United States citizen

  • State resident

  • 18 years or older on election day

  • Are registered to vote

  • Have not been charged with a felony

  • Are not under a guardianship that states you cannot vote

2. Are you registered?

Register TODAY! You must register by October 9 to vote on November 7, 2023.

3. How will you cast your vote?

Ways to Vote:

  • Absentee, by mail

  • Absentee, in person

  • Know your rights! There are certain criteria to qualify to vote absentee in Mississippi. Having a disability meets the criteria and you are entitled to vote abesentee!

  • On Election Day at your Polling Place

  • Did you know? If you have a disability, you are entitled to vote curbside if that is most accessible for you! A poll worker should be stationed outside to coordinate this.

4. Know important dates!

Key Dates for the 2023 Election:

  • Absentee Applications Available: 9/6

  • Absentee Ballots Available: 9/23

  • Voter Registration Deadline: 10/9

  • Absentee Ballots Must Be Postmarked: On or Before 11/7

  • Election Day: 11/7

If you are voting absentee by mail, make sure you’ve noted deadlines, followed the instructions on your ballot exactly, and have left plenty of time to submit by the postmark deadline!
